BRENTFORD
Brentford’s start to the season was not the one expected by their fans as they recorded only two wins in their first ten matches, drawing two and losing six. Since then, Brentford are on a three match winning streak and find themselves in the top half of the table, seven points from play-off places.
The three wins came against three clubs from the bottom half of the table but does not take away from the impact Lee Carsley had since his appointment. Carsley was been appointed as interim manager until the end of the season, but if his side continue to collect the points, he might be convinced to take the job full time.
Brentford are winless in their last seven league games against QPR, losing three, while 4 games ended in a draw.
Carsley named an unchanged 11 for the match with Charlton and no changes are anticipated this time either. Brentform do not have any real injury concerns for the Friday night clash with Queens Park Rangers.
Brentford United predicted line-up:
Button; Yennaris, Dean, Tarkowski, Bidwell; McCormack, Diagouraga, Woods; Swift, Judge; Djuricin
QUEENS PARK RANGERS
Queens Park Rangers will make the short trip to Brentford and are looking to extend their two match unbeaten run. In the last two matches, QPR have beaten MK Dons 3-0 and drew to Sheffield Wednesday keeping two clean sheets in the process.
QPR’s last league victory at Griffin Park came back in April 2003, when a 90th minute strike from Marc Bircham secured a 2-1 win for the R’s. Brentford and QPR have both won seven points from losing positions this season; a joint-league-high with Nottm Forest.
QPR were relegated from the Premier League but managed to keep their star player, Charlie Austin, in a bid to return to the Premier League. Charlie Austin had attracted plenty of interest during the summer transfer window but he stayed with the London club. He has a good start to the season, scoring 7 goals in the first nine matches. In the last 4 matches though he was unable to help his team as he has been sidelined with injury. Hi is expected to take part in the Friday game but is more likely to be on the bench rather than the starting 11.
Queens Park Rangers predicted line-up:
Green; Onuoha, Hill, Hall, Konchesky; Toszer, Henry, Luongo; Phillips, Chery; Emmanuel-Thomas
BETTING PREDICTION – BETTING TIPS
In the 13 matches played so far that Brentford and QPR have been involved, 39 and 44 have been scored. This is an average of 3 goals for Brentford matches and 3.4 goals in QPR matches. Both teams to score returns 1.60 so I will go for over 2.5 goals to be scored which has a higher return.
