Elland Road hosts a meeting of two sides keen to push away from the Championship drop-zone as Leeds face Blackburn priced as bet365’s narrow 17/10 favourites to triumph.

This price seems short.

Leeds have only won twice in 13 league matches this term and any fans anticipating a new manager bounce following the sacking of Uwe Rosler and the appointment of Steve Evans would have been left disappointed he posted 1-1 draws away at struggling Fulham and Bolton in his first two matches in charge.

Leeds are now winless in five in the Championship (L3-D2) and they have lost each of their last three home matches.

It is also notable that that Blackburn are unbeaten in six against Leeds and have triumphed on the occasion of the clubs’ last four consecutive meetings.

Despite this, though, backing an away win at 15/8 is hardly a saver.

Blackburn trail Leeds by a point in 18th in the Championship and, like the Elland Road club, have only won two of 13 league fixtures this term.

Gary Bowyer’s side were beaten 0-1 at home against Burnley last time out and they have lost three and drawn two of their last five road fixtures in the Championship.

Tip

Back this one to end level at 23/10 while the fact that the sides’ last three meetings have swung over 2.5 goals makes backing +2.5 goals attract as an 11/10 shot.

Five goal Chris Wood and seven goal Jordan Rhodes tempt as 21/10 and 11/8 anytime scorers.
