Midtjylland has taken a right course in the league from the start of the competition and the team now finds themselves alone at the top of the table with three points more than second placed FC Copenhagen.
With seven victories, three draws and a defeat, there is not much room for complains from their fans, however overall impression is that the team will have very difficult time getting the title this time with their rivals from Copenhagen being obviously stronger than in previous season.
Their Champions League path to the group stage didn’t go well as APOEL eliminated them on a away goal rule, but the team did well to win over Southampton in the play-off round of Europa League and more importantly, have started well in the group stage by winning two out of three rounds and now having nice chances to progress further in a very difficult group being together with Napoli, Legia and Club Brugge. As for the domestic league, they are doing well at the moment with two consecutive victories (four consecutive wins in three different competitions) and are surely aiming to continue in the same manner when they welcome Randers this evening.
Goalkeeper Johan Dahlin (4/0) is injured, same as Patryk Wolanski who anyway wasn’t between the posts this season. Defender Patrick Banggard (5/1) is suspended, while injured remain midfielder Rilwan Hassan (2/0).
