This Tuesday sees 20th placed Blackpool travel to Valley Parade in search of 3 points they hope can take them away from that ever so dangerous drop zone. The seasiders took a battering last season in the Championship, finishing rock bottom on just 26 points, and have so far not found the third tier much easier, only picking up four wins from 15 games.

Much has been made with regards to the off field problems at Bloomfield Road over the past year, with the fans voicing their opinions on chairman Karl Oyston quite openly, it’s little wonder performances on the pitch have suffered as a consequence.

With that said, it’s perhaps unsurprising the Tangerines haven’t exactly got off on the right foot with League One. An incredibly shaky start saw them only manage to pick up one point out of a possible 15 in the league, and although things started to look up for them last month – going unbeaten in six and progressing past Port Vale in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, they were beaten by sixth placed Bury 4-3 at the weekend. This indicating that another dip in form could well be on the cards as they head to West Yorkshire for this encounter.

Playing host tomorrow night are a Bradford side who have endured an inconsistent opening quarter of the season. On one hand they’ve managed to pick up results against teams like play-off hopefuls Sheffield United and high scoring new boys Wigan. On the other hand, they’ve slumped to the likes of Colchester and Peterborough and have already found themselves out of the JPT.

They go into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw with promotion candidates Millwall, which will perhaps give them the confidence to overturn their struggling opponents. Phil Parkinson’s men look fairly solid at the back, only conceding 2 goals in their last four matches, and with the Blackpool keeper reeling from a game which saw him pick the ball out of his net four times, putting your money on Bradford -1 could be a safe bet. The Bloomfield road outfit did manage to bag three themselves in that match though, so if you feel they could nick one, over 2.5 goals
could be a good bet for this game as well.
