The rivalry between the senior teams of PSV and Ajax is one of the bigger ones in the Netherlands. Because of that there is a certain kind of excitement when youth teams play eachother aswell. Jong PSV faces their rivals shortly after their good defensive period has ended. Suddenly the team has started to concede quite a lot. But luckily they score quite easy aswell, so this match might end up as a draw. There is a lot of unrest in the organisation of Ajax.
One of the focus points of that is the way youth players are developed. So there is some extra focus on Jong Ajax.
Too bad this isn't one of the better Jong Ajax teams in recent history. There are a few bright talents in the squad, but they are surrounded by a lot of mediocre players that won't have a future at the senior squad.
